MARIETTA, PA (July 26, 2023) – Donegal Insurance Group® is pleased to announce that Kristi Altshuler, Senior Vice President and Chief Analytics Officer, has been honored as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2023 Women of Influence. 

Awarded annually to high-achieving women for their career accomplishments, CPBJ’s Women of Influence honor recognizes professional experience, community involvement, leadership and sustained commitment to mentoring.

Donegal President & CEO Kevin Burke praised Altshuler’s impact, both within the company and across the insurance industry as a whole.

“Kristi Altshuler has played a critical role in moving the Donegal organization forward as a result of her industry experience, superior technical aptitude and the positive influence she demonstrates on a daily basis,” Burke said in her nomination. “Kristi serves as a mentor and dedicates her time and energy to others to help them achieve their career aspirations.”

Since joining the team in 2019 as Donegal’s first-ever Chief Analytics Officer, Altshuler has built the Company’s Enterprise Analytics team from the ground up, creating a culture where data and analytics are embedded in strategy and decision-making at all levels.

“Kristi never backs down from a challenge and is always thinking into the future in the spirit of continuous improvement,” said Chrissy Hoffman, Donegal’s Chief Risk Officer and a 2022 CPBJ Woman of Influence herself. “Her leadership, tenacity and technical skills translate into an extraordinary ability to inspire teams across all levels and departments in our company.”

A graduate of the University of Texas – Austin with two decades of property and casualty experience, Altshuler has spearheaded the creation of Donegal’s Innovation Taskforce and its annual state strategy planning process. When she’s not driving Donegal’s vision for utilizing data and analytics, she is a valued mentor to women in the insurance industry, working in tandem with Hoffman to cultivate the next generation of leaders by driving Donegal’s Women in Leadership Initiative.

Altshuler resides in Lancaster County, Pa. with her husband, daughter and son. Together with her fellow honorees, she was celebrated in June at the 2023 Women of Influence Event in Harrisburg.
