Donegal® Honored as Personal Lines Carrier of the Year by The Insurance Alliance Network
MARIETTA, PA (October 4, 2024) – Donegal Insurance Group® is pleased to be the recipient of the prestigious Personal Lines Carrier of the Year Award, recently announced by The Insurance Alliance Network in recognition of the outstanding partnership between the two organizations.
Bestowed annually, the Personal Lines Carrier of the Year Award is determined by the results of an internal survey of more than 50 member employees of The Insurance Alliance Network – a collective of 7 premier independent agencies located in the Central, greater Lehigh Valley and Southeast regions of Pennsylvania.

According to numbers provided by Insurance Alliance Network President Amy Gohsler, the Alliance grew 16% with Donegal in 2023, with a strong premium retention of over 100%. Additionally, The Alliance has remained extremely profitable with Donegal, generating a 3-year loss ratio of 45% between 2021-2023.
In their internal survey, Alliance member employees cited “Donegal’s responsiveness along with their knowledge and ‘always willing to help’ approach [that] drives us to be successful.”
Among the other responses: “Our underwriter is always quick to respond and helps us with any changes in the underwriting process,” one member employee wrote; and “With the constant change in insurance rates and underwriting guidelines, Donegal seems to be the most consistent,” said another.
