Home Office
Donegal’s home office in Marietta, PA, is deeply committed to making a positive impact in the wider Central Pennsylvania community, extending its reach from Harrisburg down to Lancaster. In a remarkable show of unity this year, teams from various departments came together to actively engage in community service. Generous donations of toys poured in, dedicated individuals wrapped presents with care, and hands worked tirelessly to pack nourishing meals. This collective effort not only reflects Donegal’s commitment to the outside community, but also demonstrates the power of collaboration within our own community.
Donegal actively volunteers at the Central Penn Food Bank. This season, a group of employees packed an impressive 527 boxes for the senior program.
Donegal sponsored the holiday gift distribution for Cocoa Packs Presents in Hershey, PA, making a significant impact on approximately 750 children.
Donegal’s Home Office employees brought in a fun variety of toys for the local Toys for Tots.
These wonderful women dedicated their time to volunteer at the UDS Foundation Holiday Gift Wrap Booth located in Park City Mall. The proceeds generated from the Holiday Gift Wrap booth contribute to supporting individuals with physical and age-related disabilities through a range of UDS programs and services.
Donegal team members are not only contributing to the community, but also providing support to one another during tough times. The Enterprise Analytics team pleasantly surprised a colleague who has been courageously fighting cancer at their home. Together, they sang Christmas songs, engaged in conversations, and shared laughter, serving as a heartwarming reminder that at Donegal, we are more than just coworkers – we are a family.
Michigan Insurance
Earlier this year, the Michigan Insurance team established a MI Activities Committe at their Grand Rapids office, resulting in a significant upswing in community engagement. Despite our employees being dispersed across the state, our group has encountered no challenges in finding meaningful ways to participate in and contribute to their respective local communities.
Chair of the MI Activities Committee, Faye Haldane, organized an event at the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
MI Activities member, Tami Dickinson, took the lead in coordinating a volunteer event at the Feeding America West Michigan warehouse in Comstock Park, MI.
Athens Office
Donegal’s Athens, GA office employees and management volunteered at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, assembling 96 boxes for the local Senior Staples program.
Our Southeast region generously contributed numerous toys to the 2023 Athens Area Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots.
