Donegal® Announces New Leadership in 12 Key States
MARIETTA, PA (January 19, 2024) – Donegal Insurance Group® this week named two new regional vice presidents to lead marketing efforts in 12 key states spread across the Mid-Atlantic, New England and the Southeast.
Moving forward, Wes Konchar will lead Donegal’s Marietta Region, named for the regional carrier’s headquarters and comprised of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Maine and New Hampshire. Donegal’s Atlantic South Region will be led by Shealin Mulcahy and include the states of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, the Carolinas, Tennessee and Georgia.
Konchar to succeed Anderson in 5-state Marietta Region
Konchar takes the reigns as Regional Vice President of the Marietta Region from Bill Anderson, who will transition to the role of Senior Vice President of Marketing Operations. A 15-year Donegal veteran, Konchar most recently led Donegal’s marketing efforts as Regional Sales Manager for the company’s home state of Pennsylvania. Time spent in Claims, Commercial Lines Underwriting and as a Business Relationship Manager has earned him the well-rounded experience and perspective to build on past successes and lead this 5-state region into the future.
In his new internally focused role, Anderson will continue to oversee such critical functions as the Licensing, Marketing Training, and Operations teams, in addition to being the point person for companywide initiatives, including the Marketing Team’s role in data governance, Salesforce development, agency experience initiatives, and many more.
Mulcahy to lead new Atlantic South Region following Deas advancement
As Regional Vice President of the newly expanded Atlantic South Region, Mulcahy succeeds former Southeast Senior Regional Vice President Noland Deas, who was named Donegal’s Senior Vice President of Field Operations and National Accounts earlier this month. As part of this restructure, Donegal’s Southeast Region will absorb the states of Maryland and Delaware to become the new Atlantic South Region under Mulcahy’s leadership.
Mulcahy was most recently a Regional Sales Manager covering a 6-state territory for Donegal, including Maryland, Delaware, Indiana, Ohio, Maine and New Hampshire. He joined the Donegal team in 2013, spending time in Claims before finding his footing in Commercial Lines Underwriting, and ultimately his home in Marketing.

DeLamater called Anderson’s new role a “long-needed one” for the company.
